Shower Photos

On the day of the shower, I was snapping some photos but was so overjoyed by all of the little details that went into making the day so lovely that I didn’t check the settings before I started. So, unfortunately only some of them turned out! I am hoping Cinda (our lovely shower host and talented photographer) might have taken some better photos of all of the crafty details and happenings that day.

I walked in and saw this sweet felt welcome sign (made my Tiffany Schiff) and the pinata (made by Lucinda Henry). I think they were having a Martha-off while planning the gig!

Since the pinata got used that day, we didn’t take that home with us, but we will surely be hanging the banner in the nursery for Little Monkey’s arrival. (I know, I know…babies can’t read signs, but I know he’ll feel the love that went into its design).

There's miss Cinda Henry glowing as usual.

I almost didn’t want the pinata to get crushed with its sweet little sock monkey face (which perfectly matched the invitations, by the way). Cinda made it by blowing up a big balloon, then layering the balloon with paper mache and then crafting its head from there. Really cool right!? It was filled with candy and plastic liquor bottles for the adults. Nice touch.

Going with the “Little Monkey” theme, there was a delicious banana split bar set up for guests to enjoy…

Asher is going to be surrounded by lovely girls when he is born – look at all of those cute babies!

Again, I didn’t get the best shots to really show everything off, but you can see the table runners, all sewn by Jules for the shower. I am planning to turn them into padded wall covers for the floor bed in the nursery because they match perfectly and add great color to the room! Check out these cute napkins she made too:

This adorable shed with the cool sliding barn-style doors was converted into a little drink bar…

Here are a few lovelies from the shower committee that helped make this all happen:

Tiff Schiff, Kris Dyer, and Laura Shinn!

My dear friend from childhood, Jodi, even flew into town to attend. She’s six months pregnant, so we had to do the obligatory belly shot together…

And, there were lots of bubbles!

The day was so much fun! Thank you all for coming and to the shower committee for putting together such an incredible day for us to remember always.
